The Rules For Disappearing Review

The Rules for Disappearing (The Rules for Disappearing, #1)
The Rules For Disappearing
Ashley Elston

Enter My Giveaway here
She’s been six different people in six different places: Madeline in Ohio, Isabelle in Missouri, Olivia in Kentucky . . . But now that she’s been transplanted to rural Louisiana, she has decided that this fake identity will be her last.

Witness Protection has taken nearly everything from her. But for now, they’ve given her a new name, Megan Rose Jones, and a horrible hair color. For the past eight months, Meg has begged her father to answer one question: What on earth did he do – or see – that landed them in this god-awful mess? Meg has just about had it with all the Suits’ rules — and her dad’s silence. If he won’t help, it’s time she got some answers for herself.

But Meg isn’t counting on Ethan Landry, an adorable Louisiana farm boy who’s too smart for his own good. He knows Meg is hiding something big. And it just might get both of them killed. As they embark on a perilous journey to free her family once and for all, Meg discovers that there’s only one rule that really matters — survival.

The Rules for Disappearing is an exciting mystery that kept me on my toes for the whole book. The characters were complex enough to keep it interesting and the romance in it was close to perfect.

The mystery of the book was one of the only mystery's that I have read recently that I didn't guess exactly what happened by page 50. Also hearing the different things that Meg and her sister Teeny went through were incredible.

The adventure in this book is pretty much nonstop and overall the book did not slow down much :) The only thing I didn't like about this book is, why is it not a standalone? I liked it but I think that everything could have been wrapped up very nicely in this book.....but it caught the same disease that has been plaguing the YA section lately and that disease is unneeded sequels. Now even though I call it a disease it still doesn't mean that I won't be looking forward to the sequel (mayber the sequel will told in alternating points of view???? Now that would be awesome!)
Overall I give it a 4/5

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is
Find Me
“Find Me.”

These are the words written on Tessa Waye’s diary. The diary that ends up with Wick Tate. But Tessa’s just been found . . . dead.

Wick has the right computer-hacking skills for the job, but little interest in this perverse game of hide-and-seek. Until her sister Lily is the next target.

Then Griff, trailer-park boy next door and fellow hacker, shows up, intent on helping Wick. Is a happy ending possible with the threat of Wick’s deadbeat dad returning, the detective hunting him sniffing around Wick instead, and a killer taunting her at every step?

Foster child. Daughter of a felon. Loner hacker girl. Wick has a bad attitude and sarcasm to spare.

But she’s going to find this killer no matter what.

Because it just got personal

And the best thing is you don't have to wait long, it comes out on September 24th!
Watch the awesome book trailer here.

What are you looking forward to?

Teardrop Review

Teardrop (Teardrop, #1)

Teardrop
Lauren Kate
Never, ever cry. . . . Eureka Boudreaux's mother drilled that rule into her daughter years ago. But now her mother is gone, and everywhere Eureka goes he is there: Ander, the tall, pale blond boy who seems to know things he shouldn't, who tells Eureka she is in grave danger, who comes closer to making her cry than anyone has before.

But Ander doesn't know Eureka's darkest secret: ever since her mother drowned in a freak accident, Eureka wishes she were dead, too. She has little left that she cares about, just her oldest friend, Brooks, and a strange inheritance—a locket, a letter, a mysterious stone, and an ancient book no one understands. The book contains a haunting tale about a girl who got her heart broken and cried an entire continent into the sea. Eureka is about to discover that the ancient tale is more than a story, that Ander might be telling the truth . . . and that her life has far darker undercurrents than she ever imagined. From Lauren Kate comes an epic saga of heart-stopping romance, devastating secrets, and dark magic . . . a world where everything you love can be washed away

First thought when I saw this book:
THE COVER IS GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Teardrop was my first Lauren Kate book, and seeing how Teardrop panned out, her other books are definitely on my to-read list!

Characters: I have noticed a lot of heat on this book for the characters, I personally thought that Lauren Kate did an amazing job with the putting together of the different characters.

Plot: This is the first book that I have read that is about Atlantis......so I might not have the same thoughts of other people how that is not original (though it is better than the same old dystopian). You can expect Adventure, Mystery, and Romance.

Problems: I won't mention the problems I had about this book. Because most of them would be spoilers or connected to spoilers. And I really don't want to ruin the book for you :).....but I will tell you the problems were pretty minor and are not worth passing this book up on.

Overall.....interesting plot, nice characters, and a guy who just might be my next book boyfriend! 4/5.
