Top Ten Things I Like/Dislike When It Comes To Romances In Books
The Dislikes:
1. Cheating. Of any kind. I don't care if one of the parties involved is a jerk....Not good and a complete turn off of any book I read.
2. Love triangles. Especially in contemporary fiction, love triangles just aren't realistic.
3. Insta-love. "Hey I just met you, and this is crazy,".......Yes it is crazy.
Those are my top three dislikes in romance.
Now for my likes......
1. Best friend romances (or just friends) (done well of course).....

These are the books that stuck with me throughout the entire year. All of them are definite recommendations!
1. Faking Normal
2. The DUFF
3. On the Fence
4. My True Love Gave to Me
5. Between Shades of Gray
6. Maybe One Day
7. 52 Reasons to Hate My Father
8. Throne of Glass
9. I Want It That Way
I tend to not enjoy New Adult, and this one happened to stick with me. I Want It That Way is a different kind of New Adult book, it has depth. I really liked it, and it is one of the few New Adult books that I would say I would re-read.

1. Jessica Brody
I wasn't as big a fan of Jessica Brody's sci-fi, but I LOVE her contemporary's.
Spotlight Book: 52 Reasons to Hate My Father
2. Sarah J Maas
Nope, before 2014, I had never read a Sarah J Maas book.
Spotlight Book: The ENTIRE (at least published) Throne of Glass series.
3. Joy N. Hensley
I have only read 1 Joy N. Hensley book, but I am eagerly anticipating more!
Spotlight Book: Rites of Passage
4. Amanda Maciel
Again, I have read only 1 Amanda Maciel book, but it was a powerful one. And I am hoping to read more from Amanda in the future!
Spotlight Book: Tease
5. Gayle Forman
I did read If I Stay a couple of years ago, but I didn't like it AT ALL. So I will count this year as my first real Gayle Forman experience. I re-read If I Stay and Where She Went and really enjoyed them both.
